As an unknown writer, I am a prime target for the many harsh critics out there in the world. They mostly take the form of negative, unhelpful reviews on Amazon or Goodreads. I often disappoint myself by getting caught up in this negativity. By giving it power and credibility. I am continually having to pull myself away from these negative voices so that I can rise above and hear my own voice. So that I can continue to create. It helps when I remind myself that I am nothing more than a vehicle through which a divine force, that is much greater than me, can come through. It helps when I recognize these critics for the bitter, angry voices that they are. It helps when I remind myself of all of the inner joy I get from writing. It helps when I stay in touch with that infinite source of joy and abundance that lives inside of me.
